Happy 4th Celebrations friends. Can I just say that the 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays! I think I have such fond memories of this holiday as a child that I can’t help but love it even more now as an adult! My mom always made the best pasta salad, and dad always bbq’d delicious food all day. We would swim all day and enjoy games and fireworks at our local college at night. Just last year we started doing the same thing with our boys, and it makes my heart so happy continuing traditions with our guys. I hope my sweet boys grow up remembering all of the special holidays we spend together, because it truly makes each one so unique and special!!
If you know anything about me, you know I lack a specific skill in the baking area. I have learned to cook out of necessity for my families survival, but when it comes to my baking skills, they got lost somewhere in the process of my creation. 😛
This recipe is one of the easiest and yummiest dessert options out there!
Here is what you need:
- Fruit (I prefer berries for this one)
- Pound cake or Angel food cake (You could be fancy and make this, or follow my lead and purchase the remade stuff at your local grocery store)
- One stick of cream cheese
- Marshmallow whip
In one large bowl combine your cream cheese and Marshmallow whip together and stir with a spoon. This process is easier if you mash your cream cheese prior to adding the whip.
Thats it!! Then add the fruit on top of the pound cake with your cream cheese mixture and bam! You have the most popular dessert at the party. You can also use this as a fruit dip instead of adding it to cake. Either way, people will go nuts over your dessert and beg you for your “secret” recipe.
Happy 4th Friends!!
