Welcome back to our Summer Home Tour. For the next two weeks, I will be sharing some of my favorite “insta-homes” and by the end, you’ll see why. These ladies are creative, inspiring, and full of originality. They each have different homes that reflect them, the places they live, and the families that live inside them. I am inspired by their ideas and I am so excited to share them with you.
The first home I want to share is my sweet friend Jessica Jelly. Jessica, her husband and her 3 hilarious boys (they do the best dance parties) live in Northern California, an hour away from San Francisco. They bought their first home 8 years ago in a small town where everyone knows everyone. It is a small home that was built in 1948. Her rustic farmhouse style is to die for. She does almost everything herself (my kind of girl), and some of her favorite things to do is decorate and garden.
Alrighty, lets head to Northern California… get ready to be inspired.
“I have a huge love for wall collages. I have an even bigger love for framed wooden signs. I’ve met tons of amazing, talented sign makers on IG. These two signs are definitely my top favorite. (Thankful sign @woodandwhimsydesignco) (Dance sign @saltedwords2014) I like to surround our home with great daily reminders to be thankful.”
“Our small kitchen has been through a lot of DIYs but the faux brick backsplash is definitely my favorite! We had fun customizing the vent hood out of pallet wood. Made the kitchen feel complete.”
“In our dining/eating nook I painted one wall with black chalk paint. It’s so fun to let the kids draw on or if I need something from the grocery store, I can write it on the wall. I made this shelf to display my cake stand collection and I found the best quote from Julia Child that fit perfectly!”
“Our porch swing is so fun. It adds so much to our front porch. We enjoy sitting out front watching our boys play basketball. My husband and I are huge pallet wood DIYers and he made this single seater all from old pallets.”
“My potting bench is one of my favorite builds from my husband! Again, it’s all made from pallet wood. I really enjoy potting & entertaining and having this out front really makes it all that much more fun!”

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you were inspired. I don’t know about you, but I’m going to start collecting some more palettes.
I love Jessica’s home! Her gorgeous pallet wall and all of her DIY projects show how truly talented she is! She is so inspiring
