Oranges and Greenery
I’m super excited about Summer this year. We have a couple of summer vacations on the books, and my oldest will be starting Kindergarten in the Fall. So this mama wants to soak up every last bit of time with him.
If you follow me on Instagram, you know that last week I decided to “shop my home”, and rearrange furniture. After I did that I started to decorate for Summer. I don’t know if you can relate, but once I start one thing I start down a rabbit hole. This is one rabbit hole I was glad I went down, because we are loving the new setup.
Last year there was a decor craze with Lemons!! And hey, Ive used them myself, but this year I tried thinking outside of the box. And maybe Oranges don’t seem too far off, but I couldn’t find much on Pinterest beside fall orange sliced garland.
I started by purchasing oranges on Amazon. I wasn’t sure how I was going to use them, but once I got them I was bummed I didn’t have more. They are so much fun to use. They are a perfect pop of color, but go great with my neutral home decor and greenery.
I used my DIY garland method to create the garland I put above my Gather sign, and added them to my wreath by hot gluing the oranges to sticks and placing them on the wreath.
I DIYed these wooden framed signs by purchasing the prints here. You can find my DIY wooden sign tutorial here!
Overall I love the simplicity of my home this season and its the perfect way to start off a beautiful summer.
Happy Summer!
