If you know anything about me, you know I am a HUGE traditions girl. You can check out my whole post on Holidays Traditions Here. Celebrating Advent is one of my favorite ways to get in the holiday spirit! I did a large rustic DIY Advent Calendar a few years ago. You can check that project out here. This year I have teamed up with a group of bloggers to bring you all of our advent calendars. Be sure to stop by and see theirs after this!!!
This Advent calendar is super simple, and perfect for a modern, minimalist or hygee home.
Here is what you need:
1 Large Stick
String, Jute, or Yarn
Printer
Cardstock
Hot Glue Gun
Greenery (optional)
Step One:
Find a large stick
Step Two:
Attach greenery to stick using hot glue gun.
Step Three:
Tie 5 pieces of string to the stick. You want enough distance between each string, and them long enough to attach 5 cards (Approximately 24″)
Step Four:
Download and print the Advent Calendar PDF.
Step Five:
Cut each number card at different lengths and sizes.
Step Six:
Hot glue numbers to string. I did mine out of order. I liked the look of the random sizes and numbers, but this is up to your preference.
Step Seven:
Plan out your Advent Calendar, cut our advent events, and glue or attach them to cards so they match the days event or activity.
And thats it!! Enjoy Advent!!!
Don’t forget to check out my friends and their cute advent calendars!

My daughter and I made this yesterday! Thanks so much for the fun idea – I didn’t see a number 5 in the file just FYI, we made it work by printing 25 again and cutting the two off but just thought you might want to know 🙂
Oh I am so glad you made it and enjoyed that time with your daughter. And thanks for letting me know about the 5! I will fix it.
