Fall TableScape

img_3643

Hello November. How I have missed you so. With November here, Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and Christmas, well.. that will be here before we know it. I can’t handle all the stores putting the decor up so early this year. It makes me want to skip November and put up the tree.. but I am not that crazy, (or I don’t want you to think I am), so I will wait until November 25th. As much as I love Christmas, I love Thanksgiving even more. Friends, Family, Turkey,  and our annual Turkey bowl, I get all giddy just thinking about it. One of my favorite things to do is help my mom create the Thanksgiving TableScape.

I don’t know about you guys but we almost never have a huge budget to work with, so creating a beautiful table can seem like a challenge, especially when you’re expecting 40 people for Thanksgiving. I love finding unique ways to decorate on a  budget, so here are some tips for your table this year.

Greenery. Its cheap, and beautiful. If you have a tree outside, or a neighbor or friend who wouldn’t mind you trimming up their tree, you can lay small clippings along the table, creating an s shape. This will give your table color, texture, and lots of life. I used Eucalyptus for this table. Unfortunatley we don’t have any trees near our house, but we have a local wholesale store where I can get a large bundle for $3. You can also buy greenery from places like Trader Joes and Whole Foods for fairly cheap as well.

If you’re local in Southern California, here is the wholesale flower place I go to for all my greenery and flowers.

Think outside of the box. Apples are perfect for a fall tableScape, with their warm tones, and beautiful colors, your guests will be ooing and awing at your creativity.

Mason Jar. Sure there will be more dishes than using plastic cups, but mason jars are perfect for parties. If anyone drops them, they are a whole $1 a piece so you don’t have to worry much. You can also buy these at local thrift stores for close to nothing.

Think Thrifty. I purchased the leaf rings in the dollar spot at Target, and the candle stick holders are from my local thrift store for .50 cents each.

Anyone can create a beautiful tablescape, even on a budget. I hope you are inspired to create your own table that represents the perfect you.
