This room update kinda just happened. It wasn’t on any to do list, but like most projects, one thing led to another and here we are with a whole new room. I did the Shiplap a while back and still love the way that looks, but these new updates took the room to a whole new level.
The dresser is a Malm Natural wood dresser from Ikea. It was slightly damaged, so I decided to give it a little makeover. Here is the before and after.
Before
After
I used Behr Chalk Paint, found at Home Depot and added these gold drawer pulls. (You can see all sources below).
When looking for a bed frame, I wanted a West Elm look but without the large price tag. I found this one on Amazon and was just hoping the quality would be good even though it was a cheap price.
You guys, I was blown away by the quality. Not only was the bed frame super affordable, but the quality was amazing. The color of wood is gorgeous, and I put the frame together by myself in 30 minutes. Literally anyone could put this together.
I hope you love the room as much as we do! If you have any questions about the sources listed below I would love to hear from you!
I am going to do a blog post sometime next week about my process in purchasing items, how I budget for these projects, and how I afford them. Spoiler alert, I don’t have a budget. If you follow along on Instagram I spilled the beans on my process earlier this week. I couldn’t believe how many of you expressed your excitement in using the method from now on. Make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss my posts!
