It was my turn to host our once a month “Worry Free Friday” with some of the ladies at our church and I couldn’t for the life of me think of what to do. With a eclectic group of women, I wanted to make sure everyone felt welcomed and comfortable with the activity we did. This project took little to no creativity or “craftiness” and was perfect for all ages. If you’re looking for a party idea, ladies night out, or just get the girls together idea, these little Herb Pots were just perfect.
Here is what you need:
Clay Pot
Clay Pot Tray
Herb Plants
Potting Soil
Chalkpaint/Or Acrylic Paint
Rubber letter Stamps
Stamp Pad
For the first step, I had all the ladies paint their pots with their desired colors. Chalkpaint seems to absorb and dry quicker and appear less transparent, but a couple of coats of the acrylic work as well.
After the pots are dry, let everyone stamp their pots with the herb name. You can also free hand, or add fun designs depending on the creativity and style of each person.
After the lettering was finished the girls potted their herbs.
I was amazed at the creativity of each women, whether they claimed it or not. Each pot was so unique and fit each style and personality so well. I just love these ladies and it was such a blessing to have them in my home and enjoy such a fun activity together. It was the perfect way to welcome Spring… and I can’t wait to do it again.
