Summer Home Tour-A Pennsylvania Home

Hello Friends, happy fourth of July recovery day. I hope you all had a wonderful day celebrating and remembering the freedoms we have and how grateful we are to have them. My family always celebrates with a pool party in the early afternoon, and we end it with fireworks and games at the University of Redlands. Its the best firework show around! You know its impressive when as an adult you are ooing and awing right?! I hope you had fun carrying on your traditions or creating new ones.

This next home I am sharing is a favorite of mine. Bree is a one of a kind decorator, and one of the sweetest ladies Ive met! She is a stay at home mama of two little boys, and lives in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Her and her hubs like to do lots of Do It Yourself projects and I am always inspired by her creative placements of objects and items in her home. Her farmhouse style home was built in the early 1900’s, and you can see a lot of the original charm in the original wood moldings and floors. Her home is modern meets farmhouse with an industrial and vintage twist, and its just to die for.

“Our cozy little corner. I love sitting here and drinking my tea in the morning or snuggling up with a good book. I really enjoy thrifting and antique shopping. That window was a recent thrifted find and I DIYed the wreath.”

“My husband found our corner hutch in a home he was remodeling and they gave it to him for free. With some paint and work he “built” it in the corner of our living room. And I absolutely love it! I like to keep some of my favorite vintage pieces in there. That table was a recent find at an antique store for only $20 it’s made with reclaimed wood and I fell in love as soon as I laid eyes on it!”

“A look inside our shelves.”

“My husband and I DIYed these pipe shelves and I love the rustic feel they add to the space!”

“A couple years ago my husband surprised me with a typewriter and crate for Christmas. I decided to use the crate as an end table and I sort of love it!”

“Our dining room is filled with many sentimental pieces. Our hutch, table and chairs belonged to my husbands Granny. She asked us to have it before she passed away. I love using the hutch to display some of my most cherished pieces. My husband and I love to go antiquing though it doesn’t happen as often as it use to, before kids. So we treasure the times we do get to go. We’ve collected lots of milk glass and enamel pieces over the years. I love displaying all my white pieces in this hutch.”

“My husband and I recently built that pipe shelf. I sort of have an obsession for pipe shelving. I also like to fill my home with greenery. I feel it really brightens a space up. I’ve recently branched out and went from faux to real and I’m happy to report my plants are alive and thriving!”

“The MARKET sign is also a hand painted DIY project! I love little touches of black and white. “

“I really love making wood signs, these are a couple of my most recent ones. That I’ve made. The older I get the more I enjoy and appreciate spending time at home. So I knew I needed a sign that said “let’s stay in” “

“Our hanging scale was purchased on a thrifting adventure with my husband. It probably my favorite piece in our whole house!”

“More pipe shelving, I told you I have an obsession! I just love the rustic simplicity they add to a space. This one is in my kitchen and this is probably my favorite view in my whole house. I love collecting all kinds of kitchen decor, cake stand, milk glass, pitchers…love it all!”

“This little corner is always bright and sunny and it helps to make dish duty a little more enjoyable!”

image3

“Another thrifted scale, for only $10 and some white spray paint! I love moving it around and using it all over my kitchen!”

Isn’t Bree amazing? And all that pipe shelving? I don’t know about you, but I am glad she has an obsession with pipe shelves! They all make her space so lovely!! Don’t you think? You can find Bree and her lovely home on instagram @thehomemakingmomma
