Vintage Porch Inspired
I was in need of some refresh and change once Christmas was over, and let’s be honest, I have a pillow problem. Instead of spending more money on pillows I will use for a few months and retire to my closet (where all the pillows go after I am over them), I decided to make my own, save some money and make the husband happy in the process.
These DIY no Sew pillows are one of the easier DIY projects I have ever done. I thought about sewing them, but when I saw Vintage Porch’s pillows and read her amazing tutorial, I knew this would be an easier option.
I got these amazing Tea Towels for Christmas. They are Hearth and Hand and I love them!! I am sure many of you know of the new Hearth and Hand line by Magnolia at Target, but just in case you didn’t. Head over and check out all their amazing farmhouse line.
They have different colors in these tea towels, and they would all make great pillow covers!!
I cut mine to 20″ x 20″ and used two for each pillow. The other towels were from Ikea, I know they have green, blue, and red in these tea towels and come in a pack of four, which means you can make 2 pillows from each pack. After cutting them, and ironing a nicer seam by folding them in, I glued 3 sides together using my Fabric Glue.
I waited for about 10 minutes before stuffing each of them with my poly Fil. I purchased my Poly Fil from Hobby Lobby and with a 40% off coupon using their app, I got two for $5 and it made 4 pillows for me. You can also purchase it from Amazon!
This may be my new favorite DIY and I think I will rethink purchasing new pillows for a while.
