Bedroom Makeover
Welcome to our holiday home and “Favorite Christmas Room” Blog Hop. If you are here visiting from Amy’s gorgeous home, hello!! I am so glad you stopped by. Wasn’t her living room gorgeous?! She is the sweetest and her home is so inspirational!
Speaking of inspiration, I have been gathering ideas and inspiration for our bedroom for months now. It is one of those projects that has been on the “To-Do” list for quite some time now. When I started thinking about the holiday’s, I knew it would be the perfect time to update the room and reveal it!
As always, we are on a budget! So that meant finding budget friendly ways to update our bedroom without breaking the bank. We have left over paint from previous projects. I used Benjamin Moore’s Simply White for our home and it’s the perfect combo of bright and warm.
I used “Making Joy & Pretty Things” tutorial on laying the shiplap. The tutorial was so easy to follow and super affordable. Plus any project I can do without the help of the hubs means I can do it on my timing, which means I randomly wake up one day and decide I am buying and laying shiplap all in one day. Not exactly his style. ;P
These shelves were an easy addition using 3 planks and these $2 brackets.
I will be doing a tutorial on this DIY up cycled $10 mirror after the holidays so keep your ear out, or Subscribe to get my Free DIY Plans first!

You’ll die when you see it before. It was a hideous little thing.
Our desk area is the perfect place to work on my blog … and hopefully now that it’s all done up it won’t collect as much junk. I can dream right?!
How cute are these DIY Tags from Taryn Whiteaker?
This room has truly brought a new excitement to this Christmas Season. The problem is, I don’t want to leave this cozy little room so that makes getting out of bed every morning extra challenging. We will have to soak up all the coziness in our winter break.
