Happy Friday Friends. I don’t know about you, but I always feel extremely accomplished after making it to the end of another week. This week was particularly accomplished because I managed to keep a clean(ish) house all week, cooked dinner almost every night, and spent time with my guys. Win Win Win.
I rearranged the other day and “Shopped my Home”.. I can’t wait to share more about that next week, but while I was in the process, I began to think of ways I could make my floating shelves look more “Springy”.
When I think of Spring, I think of Green, green and more green. I think of flowers and picnics and the sweet scents that fill the fresh air. I wanted my shelves to encompass just that.. the feeling of spring.
I had a bundle of floral arrangement I had purchased from Afloral, which I highly recommend by the way. If you are anything like me most of the Real green things come to my home only to die a few weeks later. Afloral has THE Best faux flowers. People who come to my house want to know how i have kept them alive so long. Seriously.. they look so dang real.
So back to the project. I wanted to use the amazing floral arrangement but in a NEW way.. so I got to thinking. Naturally my thinking took me to the garage where lots of goodies go to hide. I came across a dowel and knew exactly what I wanted to do.
I used thread to secure each of the stems from the bundle and hung them upside down by the rung.
I hung it by adding a couple of screws into my ceiling and tying the thread around the screws. Wha-la!! I used what I already had a created the most perfect springy space ever.
Happy Spring Decorating!!
