Welcome to my Homes For the Holidays Blog Hop. I am so excited you are here to enjoy this Holiday season with me. Wasn’t Kelly from The Tattered Pew’s home just wonderful. She is one talented lady and her home is one of my favorites.
December always comes and goes way too quickly…am I right? I shared on my social media pages the other day that I feel like this time of year is so hard to enjoy. It is supposed to be the best time of year, but I find myself getting caught in the hustle and bustle of the business that can also come along with this time of year. Then I find myself missing out on all of the joys of life, the holidays, and all the memories I am miss with my little guys.
So I have challenged myself to simply “just be” every once in a while. As a blogger, maker, and small business owner, it can be very challenging to put it all way for a while and enjoy the moments happening around me…. but this year I am determined to make it a priority.
Decorating our newly painted white walls has been so exciting. Everything looks so different and I almost feel like we are living in a new home.
Its amazing how little changes can make such a big difference.
If you read my Tablescape blog post, you know that I went with a classic Farmhouse Christmas this year. I mean I couldn’t help it, have you seen all of those cute little cars with Christmas trees on top? I think I have at least 5 items with that image, or something like it.
Im loving my new 4 foot tree that I bought at Walmart for $25. At that price I thought.. yup I am putting up two trees side by side this year.. and I kinda love it. What do you think?
I had a box of Christmas decor from when we were first married, and it was about time to say goodbye as most of it was falling apart, or didn’t quite go with my farmhouse decor.
But those of you know that I am not one to spend a lot of money, so I did what I do best. I bargained shopped. I found most of my decor from Target Dollar Spot, or OC Goodwill. I may have splurged on a couple Home Goods items, and the cutest pillows from Gable Lane and Crates.
But overall, I bought almost all my Christmas decor for under $100.
Our favorite part of the day is coming home, curling up on the couch and watching a movies as a family.
With the Christmas lights in the background, and the flicker of some of my favorite holiday scents burning in the candles around us, I remember why I love this time of year… not for the craziness, or the gifts, or the business, but the time I get to spend with my family, and the memories we are making along the way. We are so blessed. Truly Blessed.

Thank you Bree. You are always so sweet and encouraging. So glad we got to do these Hops together. Your home is truly inspirational to me.
Love the two trees! And that garland is the best! I’m crushing on the buffalo check and your room makes me want to ditch the black and do the red and white with white slipcovers! Gorgeous!
So honored to be a part of this tour with you!
